phonecard think tank.
The Worldwide Phonecards Collectors Club celebrates the 30th anniversary of the African Telately Association (ATA), one of Africa’s most historic phonecard collectors clubs and an important international partner of the PIM.

Blending technological heritage, collecting passion, and international spirit, the PIM – Phonecards International Meeting 2026 turned the Parco Culturale Le Serre into a global hub for phonecard enthusiasts. Held from April 17 to 19, this year’s edition carried special significance as it marked the 50th anniversary of the first phonecard, an object no longer in everyday use but still rich in historical and cultural value.
On April 18, 2026, during the PIM event held in Grugliasco, a charity auction brought together attendees, companies, and enthusiasts in a concrete initiative supporting scientific research. The total proceeds, amounting to €2,000, were fully donated to the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro, a leading Italian organization funding oncology research and supporting the Candiolo Institute.
